Organic Check

Terms of service

Last updated October 29, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Josh Yaspan ("we", "us"), who runs Organic Check at organiccheck.app (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you agree on that company's behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

1. What Organic Check does

Organic Check compares the suppliers you enter with the public data in the USDA Organic INTEGRITY Database, watches them for changes between USDA's monthly snapshots, and keeps records of the checks you run.

2. Important: what it doesn't do

3. Your account

Give accurate sign-up details, keep your password and API keys private, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used them. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18.

4. Trials, plans and payment

5. Using the service fairly

Don't: break the law with it; try to get around plan limits, rate limits or security; access other people's accounts or data; overload or disrupt the service; or resell or give others access to the service itself without our written agreement. USDA's data is public and you're free to get it from USDA; these limits are about our service.

6. Your data

Your supplier lists, watchlists and records belong to you. You let us store and process them only to run the service for you. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. You can download your records from the app, and ask us to delete your account at any time.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Organic Check running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We may improve or change features. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your records, and refund any prepaid time you can't use.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Organic Check and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk; where reasonable, we'll warn you first.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that results are accurate, complete or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goods, including losses from relying on a result. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Oregon, USA, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
